Explore Elie Saab’s Magical FW 2022-23 Haute Couture Collection

For the first time, the Lebanese designer added a men’s line to his Paris Haute Couture runway.

Luxury fashion house Elie Sab presented their Fall-Winter 2022.23 Haute Couture Collection during the ongoing Paris Fashion Week. Titled The Beginning of Twilight, the collection fused fantasy and reality, featuring looks for both women and men, inspired by the moments between day and night, where, for a brief instant, imaginary and real are one.

The collection also brought ethereal hues, curvaceous lines and opulent textures inspired by dusk. It brings ethereal hues, opulent textures and curvaceous lines. Sumptuous fabrics overlap with intricately embellished embroideries and embrace the body in figure defining forms. The silhouettes reflected the power and grace of the ever-changing setting sun. Crepuscular rays paint the clouds in sweeping gradations of vibrant red, pink, blue and grey intensities. For the season, Elie Saab captured the feeling where everything is familiar, yet nothing is quite as it seems.

There was also a spectrum of feathers that danced with tapestries of black velvet, and stroke into bodices that alternated between opacity and transparency. Lace tresses rushed across overstated collars and exaggerated necklines, while beaded fringed swishes and swayed down sleeves, captivating the gaze with glistening movement.

“Grand, floor-sweeping satin capes with majestic shoulder lines exhibit a masculine dominance in layers of wispy multicolor plumage. Gemstones and beads cling to the skin like elusive stardust and are given definition and shape from contouring chiffon cutouts. Large braids of gold beads snake around colored stones, morphing into neck ornaments collars and sculptured waistlines of simple off-white mermaid gowns. The indefinable bride shines forth, herself a vision glimmering in a tantalizing pastel spectrum.
