From Dua Lipa to Bad Bunny, these celebrities donned spectacular gowns to pay homage to Karl Lagerfeld.

The Met Gala 2023 is affectionately referred to as “fashion’s biggest night” for a reason. It’s here that the spotlight shines extra bright, and extraordinary design comes to life, be it from luxury fashion houses or up-and-coming talent. The Met Gala, held as the annual fundraiser for New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute, has been organised and presided over by Anna Wintour since 1995. It is timed to coincide with the unveiling of the museum’s annual fashion exhibition. With this year’s theme being a homage to the late, great Karl Lagerfeld (officially titled: ‘Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty’, 20203’s Met Gala is a feast for the eyes. The collection honours the life and legendary career of the late designer, who died on Feb. 19, 2019, and features more than 150 pieces, including sketches.
The looks spotted on the carpet were extravagant, cosy, and eye-catching as ever, reflecting and paying tribute to the life and style of the later designer, artist, and creative director, Karl Lagerfeld, who harnessed many muses for Chanel, Fendi, Balmain, Patou, and more. The likes of Dua Lipa, Anne Hathaway, Emily Ratajkowski, Jennifer Lopez, Roger Federer, Naomi, Bad Bunny, and Paris Hilton truly stole the show in their incredible outfits, bringing style and glamour to the carpet.
