Diversity Thrives On The Runway At Copenhagen Fashion Week SS23
Among the SS23 presentations in Copenhagen, the brands surprised and delighted the public with their diverse selection of models.
Copenhagen Spring/Summer 2023 Fashion Week was a special moment for everyone to enjoy fashion, style, and glamour. Creative designers presented their collection at the vibrant Danish capital, unveiling bright and colourful collections that caught all our attention and made us fall in love with all the pieces!
This season for Spring/Summer 2023, the schedule boasts plenty of both established Scandi brands that presented their latest designs on the international stage. A Roege Hove, Jade Cropper, Holzweiler, among other brands, they all made effort to focus on sustainability while creating their designs.
Below, we bring you the highlights from the Spring/Summer 2023 runways, straight from Copenhagen Fashion Week.
- Roege Hove. – Spring Summer 2023
Designer Amalie Røge Hove presented her latest Spring-Summer 2023 collection at CPHFW. The A. Roege Hove designer had an urge to dive back into old procedures and explore the systematic creation of material as the conceptual knitwear label took its modernist designs into ancient surroundings for Copenhagen Fashion Week. “After a few seasons of moving forward, it felt natural to take a step back and look at my old work and procedures,” she explained. “I wanted to allow myself to create with no purpose and take the time to immerse myself in the details and the systematics of knitting, and by this investigate the possibilities and extremes even further.”
Jade Cropper – Spring Summer 2023
Designer Jade Cropper was undeniably one of the most talked about throughout the week. The designer presented his collection during Copenhagen Fashion Week and hit the week, joining forced with Circulose to craft each look and furthering the sustainability focused mission of CPHFW. The brand also transformed a shopping mall parking a lot into a runway covered in dust, on which models sported cut-out knit separates, denim dresses and more.
Holzweiler – Spring Summer 2023
For Spring, Summer 2023, Holzweiler presented a collection which was a delightful mixture of masculine and feminine. The designer showed off models wearing delicate floral dresses that moved effortlessly down the runway. Then, there were also models wearing tailored fits – from boiler suits to waistcoats. Tassels in the form of statement belts, hemlines and bags were also the unifying theme that was constant throughout the collection.
Rotate – Spring Summer 2023
Rotate presented an incredible collection that put everyone in the mood to party, closing Copenhagen’s SS season with a disco-themed dancing finale. For the season, the collection featured striking silhouettes, mixed with vivid colours and plenty of references to Nineties style and sheer, slip dresses and playful miniskirts. Fans could also try on the brand’s ‘Theresa’ flame dresses thanks to Rotate’s first step into the metaverse – straight off the runway, via augumented reality.
Baum Und Pferdgarten – Spring Summer 2023
Held in the streets of Copenhagen, Baum Und Pferdgarten’s Spring-Summer 2023 collection clearly reflected the vibrancy of the Danish capital. The brand presented pieces in bright blues and purples which were paired with clashing highlighter pinks and yellows. The designer also played with prints and textures on chain-patterned floaty dresses, leopard-print coats and full lace looks.
