Emily in Paris has become one of the most popular romantic comedy series lately. The first season premiere was a worldwide success and placed in the top 10 most-watched worldwide series. Thus, Netflix has decided to continue betting on it and continue a third and fourth season.
The series, created by showrunner Darren Star, tells the story of a college graduate, Emily Cooper (Lily Collins), who moves from Chicago to Paris to work as an aspiring marketing executive at the French company Savoir. This experience allows her to navigate different cultures, languages and her love life.
In the second season, Emily becomes embroiled in a love triangle. She meets Gabriel, her downstairs neighbour and head chef, and falls in love with him. But Gabriel has a girlfriend, Camille, who later becomes her friend. Then, Emily meets Alfie, an English banker who is in her French class. They meet and fall in love after Emily and Gabriel’s love ended up.
During this season, Emily makes great progress at work, while in the final season, Sylvie resigns with plans to open her own marketing firm and invites Emily to join the team. Alfie leaves Paris and returns to London. The long-distance relationship with Alfie doesn’t work out as they had hoped, and Emily declares her love for Gabriel. However, Gabriel decides to go back to Camille. So, Emily doesn’t know what to do, and the series leaves us with a cliffhanger as Emily has to decide whether to stay in Paris or not.

“A year after moving from Chicago to Paris for her dream job, Emily finds herself at a crucial crossroads in every aspect of her life. Faced with two very different paths, Emily will have to decide exactly where her loyalties lie – at work and in her romantic life – and what those decisions mean for her future in France.” “Emily finds herself at a crossroads during the third season with respect to her love life and her career. It ends sharing, “All while continuing to immerse herself in the adventures and surprising twists and turns that life in Paris provides.” Which means Emily’s stay in Paris will lead to more adventures, for sure.
In an interview, Lilly Collins expressed the following, “Season three gives the other characters a chance to develop their characters.” It seems that for this upcoming season, “Emily in Paris” will focus on the secondary characters, as they will have the opportunity to grow.
‘Emily in Paris Season 3’: The Cast
Season three will continue featuring familiar faces and some new characters. Emily Cooper (played by Lilly Collins) continues to star. Aspiring singer Mindy Chen (played by Ashley Park), Emily’s best friend, returns again.
Along with Emily and Mindy, we will also see Alfie played by Lucien Laviscount, the English banker who is in French class with Emily and her romantic interest and Lucas Bravo, as Gabriel, returns as Emily’s chef, neighbor and lover. Leroy Beaulieu reprises the role of Sylvie, Emily’s boss at Le Savoir.
Ashley Park, Camille Razat, Samuel Arnold, Bruno Gouery and William Abadie join Collins at the front of the cast, reprising the characters we had already seen during the first two installments of ‘Emily in Paris’.
